The steps to praying the Rosary are:
Make the Sign of the Cross and say the “Apostles’ Creed” below:
I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic* church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
Say the “Our Father”
Say three “Hail Marys” for Faith, Hope, and Charity
Say the “Glory Be”
For each of the five decades, announce the Mystery (All Mysteries are listed below):
- say the “Our Father”
- Say ten “Hail Marys” (one decade) while meditating on the Mystery
- Say the “Glory Be”
- Optional – Pray the “O My Jesus prayer directly below
[Optional: Say the “O My Jesus” prayer requested by Mary at Fatima:
O my Jesus, forgive us our sins,
Save us from the fires of hell,
Lead all souls to Heaven,
Especially those who have most need of your mercy]
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope,
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve,
To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears,
Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us,
and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus,
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God,
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray:
O God, whose only Begotten Son, by his life, Death and Resurrection,
Has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life,
Grant, we beseech thee, that while mediating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
We may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord,
Amen
Make the “Sign of the Cross”

Fr. Pawel Hrebrenko to be installed as Parish Pastor
Everyone,
please mark your calendars for the 11am mass on Sunday May 4th – Fr. Paul/Pawel Hrebenko will be officially installed as the new Pastor for Our Lady of Fatima during the 11am Mass. There will be a celebration afterwards for everyone to be held in the Parish Center.
The installation of a new pastor is a public liturgical rite where the bishop, or a priest delegated by the bishop, presents the new pastor to the parish community, who then makes an oath of fidelity and leads the people in a profession of faith.
This will be a great celebration, and we look forward to seeing you all there! We will also need volunteers to prepare for this – please email wiltonknightsofcolumbus@gmail.com to let us know if you are interested in helping out.

David Imhof, the Connecticut State Faith director for the Knights of Columbus, has been in touch with the Wilton KOC Officers and would like our Council to get involved with the COR program.
COR consists of three key elements which must be present for every gathering: prayer, formation, and fraternity.
COR lasts approximately 60-90 minutes and includes elements of prayer, formation and fraternity. In consultation with the pastor, local leadership selects the formation content and types of prayers that will best fit the dynamic of the group
If anyone has an interest in joining or being involved in leading the program, please email wiltonknightsofcolumbus@gmail.com.

Mass For Election Success
On Tuesday, November 5th, there will be a Mass held at Our Lady of Fatima Church at 12:15pm, immediately followed by a Rosary for the success of the 2024 Election.
“Lord God, as the election approaches, we seek to better understand the issues and concerns that confront our city/state/country, and how the Gospel compels us to respond as faithful citizens in our community.
We ask for eyes that are free from blindness so that we might see each other as brothers and sisters, one and equal in dignity, especially those who are victims of abuse and violence, deceit and poverty.
We ask for ears that will hear the cries of children unborn and those abandoned, men and women oppressed because of race or creed, religion or gender. We ask for minds and hearts that are open to hearing the voice of leaders who will bring us closer to your Kingdom.
We pray for discernment so that we may choose leaders who hear your Word, live your love, and keep in the ways of your truth as they follow in the steps of Jesus and his Apostles and guide us to your Kingdom of justice and peace.
We ask this in the name of your Son Jesus Christ and through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Coats For Kids Initiative
NORWALK – On Saturday, October 26, more than 900 brand new coats and hand-knit winter hats, were distributed to clients of Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) by the greater Norwalk area Knights of Columbus Councils as part of the Order’s Coats for Kids Initiative. Sizes from toddler to teenager, men’s and women’s were organized and distributed. Since the initiative launched in 2009, more than 1 million coats have been distributed in 49 states and all 10 Canadian provinces to keep kids warm through the winter.
Knights of Columbus Councils from Norwalk, New Canaan, Westport, Wilton, and Bishop Fenwick Assembly 100 4th Degree worked together to purchase the brand-new coats through various fundraisers throughout the year. In addition to the new coats, St. Matthew Parishioners Karen Delvecchio and Terri Sargent donated handmade winters hats and scarves for the sixth year in a row.
“Inflation has created an even bigger need in our community, so we do what Knights do by assisting our brothers and sisters when times are rough,” said Project Chairman George Ribellino. “We are honored to partner with the FCA for the sixth straight year.”
“We are deeply grateful for the continued partnership with the Knights of Columbus, who help provide warmth and comfort to children in need through brand new winter coats,” said Robert F. Cashel, President & CEO of FCA. “Each year, as families face increasing financial challenges, this initiative brings relief and joy to parents and children alike, strengthening our community with every coat distributed.”
