Jamie McDowell Grand Knight from June 20th 2018 to June 30th 2024. For Jamie McDowell, June 30th 2024 brought an end to 6 years of being the Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus Council 12698. Jamie served as a faithful servant to Our Lady of Fatima Church. Over the years, he worked closely with the members of the Knights, the Columbiettes, and the Parish to organize or help with many events, including Coats for kids, the Christmas Creche in the town center, the Easter Egg Hunt, Fish Fry Friday, the Parish BBQ, Knight at the Wilton Playhouse, Game Night, Breakfast with Santa, the 911 memorial, Bingo Night, St. Patricks Day and others. He was always first to the Parish Center for the monthly meeting to ensure tables and chairs were setup in advance so that an orderly meeting took place. Jamie also presided over the Covid period and ensured the Knights remained in contact and were available to help during the lockdown period. Under his leadership, the Council earned the Father McGivney, the Founders’, the Columbian Awards and the Star Council Award raising the profile of Wilton Council 12698. Jamie also contributed as a CCD teacher at Our Lady of Fatima. Jamie became a 1st Degree Knight on November 17th, 2003, becoming a 4th Degree Knight on November 8th, 2015. He initially served as Financial Secretary from October 1st 2015 to September 18th 2016, and as Deputy Grand Knight from July 1st 2016 to June 19th 2018, become becoming Grand Knight from June 20th 2018 to June 30th 2024.

Anthony “Tony” Ruggi Grand Knight from July 1st 2014 to June 30th 2016. Tony joined the Knights of Columbus as a 1st Degree on November 21st 2005, becoming a 4th Degree Knight on May 18th 2014. Tony served as Inside Guard from July 1st 2008 to June 30th 2009. He then became Deputy Grand Knight from July 1st 2010 to June 30th 2014, adn took on the Grand Knight responsibilities from July 1st 2014 to June 30th 2016. Tony then served as again as Deputy Grand Knight from June 20th 2018 to June 30th 2022.

Henry “Bud” Boucher Grand Knight from July 1st 2012 to July 6th 2014. Bud joined the Knights of Columbus as 1st Degree on June 1st 1966, and became a 4th Degree Knight on April 20th 2008. He initially served as Financial Secretary from August 19th 2009 to June 27th 2012. He then became Grand Knight and served in that role from July 1st 2012 to July 6th 2014. Bud died suddenly and peacefully on January 24th 2021 and his obituary can be found in our Knights Memorial page.

Paul Niche Grand Knight from February 17th 2010 to June 30th 2012. Paul joined the Knights of Columbus as 1st Degree on June 1st 1979, and became a 4th Degree Knight on April 10th 2005. He initially served as Financial Secretary from December 18th 2006 to August 18th 2009. He then became Deputy Grand Knight from January 18th 2010 to February 14th 2010, and then Grand Knight from February 17th 2010 to June 30th 2012.

Peter Slavin Grand Knight from January 12th 2009 to February 14th 2010. Peter joined the Knights of Columbus as 1st Degree on March 1st 1979, and became a 4th Degree Knight on April 10th 2005. Peter initially served as Deputy Grand Knight from July 1st 2008 to January 12th 2009. He then became Grand Knight from January 12th 2009 to February 14th 2010. Peter has also served for many years as a Knights of Columbus Insurance Agent.

Brian J Lawlor Grand Knight from July 1st 2006 to January 20th 2009. Brian joined Knights of Columbus Council 12698 and earned his First Degree on October 30th, 2002 and his 4th Degree on November 5th, 2006. Brian transferred to Monsignor Peter E. Blessing Council 5273 in Coventry, Rhode Island.

Thomas P Courtney Grand Knight from July 1st 2004 to June 30th 2006. Thomas joined the Knights of Columbus Council 12698 and earned his First Degree on November 7th 2001.

Mark W Mooren Grand Knight from July 1st 2003 to January 15th 2004. Mark joined the Knights of Columbus Council 12698 on and earned his First Degree on January 1st 1986. Mark was memorialised in later years with the Mark Mooren Founder’s Scholarship, a $1,000 award given to a graduating high school senior. Mark passed away on December 25th 2007.

Christopher K Switzer Grand Knight from January 14th 2003 to June 30th 2004. Christopher joined the Knights of Columbus Council 12698 and earned his First Degree on May 3rd 2000 and became a 4th Degree Knight on April 22nd 2018. Christopher transferred to the Knights of Columbus Monsignor Alfonse Broens Council 2478, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

Mark W Mooren Grand Knight from May 3rd 2000 to January 14th 2003. Mark was the first Grand Knight for the Wilton Council 12698. Mark joined the Knights of Columbus Council 12698 and earned his First Degree on January 1st 1986. Mark was memorialised in later years with the Mark Mooren Founder’s Scholarship, a $1,000 award given to a graduating high school senior. Mark passed away on December 25th 2007.
